Job Fairs at Delaware Tech
Delaware Tech job fairs provide students and alumni the opportunity to explore career and employment possibilities with local employers and military partners. Job fairs are also an opportunity to grow their networking and interview skills.

Students
Meet with employers to discuss possible career opportunities within the company
Ask employers your questions (please see below)
Develop a resume and meet with Career Services for a review. Bring plenty of copies of your resume
How will you introduce yourself? Practice your opening pitch to employers
- Big Interview: login with your Delaware Tech email to learn and practice your interview skills
- Giving an Elevator Pitch
Research participating employers; make a prioritized list of employers you want to meet with
Create a list of relevant questions to ask employers (please see below)
Create a strong Handshake profile and load your resume onto your profile
What positions do you have available right now?
What is the typical hiring process of the company?
Do you offer on-the-job training for required skills?
What is the application process?
What is the deadline to apply for (specific position)?
What is their experience with the company like?
- What do they like most about working there?
- What are some challenges they face on a typical day of work?
Ask about potential growth opportunities within the company
Ask about the company culture and work-life balance
Employers
Registration for each fair will open February 13, 2024.
All registrations will be processed through Handshake. Each fair has its own separate registration:
- Wilmington Campus Employer Registration
- Georgetown Campus Employer Registration
- Stanton Campus Employer Registration
- Dover Campus Employer Registration
Space is limited. Registration will close 2 weeks prior to the event or when the limit has been reached.
There is no cost to attend.
